1. 2013 Ram 1500

The Ram 1500 is a great-performing truck, with several engine options. There's a powerful 5.7 liter Hemi V8, and an optional 8-speed automatic transmission. The rear suspension gives it a very comfortable ride, and decent handling. And there are many excellent options.

However, the Ram 150 has a below-average reliability score.

Fuel economy: 17/25 mpg city/highway (V6)

2. 2013 Ford F-150

There are an excellent range of engines, body styles, and equipment levels with the F-150. There are four engine options. It's practical, with a strong towing capacity and spacious, comfortable seats. It even has a business-ready onboard computer.

The F-150 got an above-average safety score.

Fuel economy: 15/21 mpg city/highway (5.0-liter V8)

3. 2013 GMC Sierra 1500

The Sierra 1500's V8 options have plenty of power for towing. The two larger V8s have six-speed automatic transmissions. The Sierra has powertrain grade breaking even in normal transmission mode.

This truck has a large turning radius, which can make it hard to maneuver. And the safety score is below-average safety score.

4. 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

The Silverado 1500 has good towing and hauling capabilities, four engine options, and a comfortable ride. The base V6 is mediocre, but the V8s are great. The Silverado has powertrain grade braking. Its strong chassis gives it one of the highest towing capacities in its class.

The design is a bit aged, though. And the Silverado 1500 got a below-average safety score.

5. 2013 Toyota Tundra

The Tundra has strong engines, with good options. Customers have three engine choices, including a powerful 5.7 liter V8.

The interior is spacious, though the plastics seem a bit low-rent. But everything is easy to operate. It has a better than average safety score.

Fuel economy: 16/20 mpg city/highway (two-wheel drive, V6)

Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-back System - 2014 Silverado / Sierra 1500



This is a complete 409S Cat-back system for the newly redesigned 2014 Chevrolet and GMC 1500 series pickup trucks with the 5.3L V8 engine. It's designed to fit Double Cab and Crew Cab models with 5.5 or 6.5 bed. The system connects just behind the factory catalytic converter with a flanged inlet pipe and braided flex connector. The muffler in the system is a single inlet, single outlet Super 50 Series. The single 3.0" tailpipe exits out the side in the factory style, and includes a 3.5" dia, double wall polished 304S stainless tips. As an Force II system, it will generally provide a moderate sound level both inside and outside of the vehicle. The sound while in MDS mode is very tolerable and should not be an issue for the majority of customers. The system includes all the hardware necessary for a simple at home installation.
